One of the world’s leading property developer, Emaar Properties, has been named as the most endorsed brand among consumers in the UAE.
According to the Advocacy Rankings, produced by YouGov’s daily brand tracking tool BrandIndex, Emaar topped the list, ahead of Emirates and iPhone.
The rankings considered how much UAE consumers recommended brands during the year by asking respondents what brands they would recommend to friends or colleagues, or tell them to avoid the brand.
The report said Emaar “has produced consumer experiences that have helped to shape the UAE’s popularity as one of the leading destinations of the world”.
Behind Emaar, the UAE’s top 10 most recommended brands include Emirates making it a second place, Etihad Airways in sixth, while Emirates NBD comes in seventh.
iPhone and Apple scored third and fourth places respectively, as the most endorsed tech and mobile brands and unchallenged by their competitors in the top 10.
WhatsApp has secured the fifth and Google eighth rankings, proving the worthiest of advocacy among social messaging and search brands in the UAE.
Carrefour has rounded the top 10 brands in 2017, with Majid Al Futtaim securing the ninth position followed by Visa in 10th.
According to YouGov BrandIndex – MENA spokesperson the Brand advocacy is one of the most powerful marketing tools businesses can have. The act of recommendation shows consumers have had a very positive experience with a brand, and the top 10 have achieved just that.
