The 16th edition of Cityscape Global is commencing 11 – 13 September 2017 at Dubai World Trade Center, and developers will be allowed to sign sales deals during the show. Selling on site brings new opportunities for both sellers and visitors. Following are some reasons why it’s a good time to buy in Dubai.
1. New REIT choices
There are a number of Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) that have entered the market year 2017. Many new activities are happening in the REIT market, with several new products being launched or planned in Dubai and Abu Dhabi this year, according to Craig Plumb, head of research at JLL Middle East and North Africa. JLL expects more REITs to be launched over the next few years focusing on sector-specific vehicles to attract investors. “Dubai currently is the best market in the region for institutional investors, but it is limited by a lack of good-quality investment products on secure long-term leases,” says Plumb.
2. Affordable housing
There has also been positive development in the last few years towards the affordable housing, increasing the competitiveness of the city.
3. Off-plan deals
Off-plan sales have been surpassing the secondary market sales by 30 per cent, which is a great testament of investor confidence in Dubai. Developers have been offering easy payment plans which have assisted with boost in sales.
4. High returns
Dubai’s real estate market offers attractive rental returns when compared with other places in the world and a wealth of investment opportunities. Investors can achieve gross yields of between 6 per cent and 10 per cent. Financing is available at around 4 per cent interest rates. Here at Hamptons International we always recommend to our clients to conduct their own due diligence besides taking our professional advice. It is important for the clients to fully understand the real estate market in order to make the right decisions.
5. Community choices

All of the communities are and will be well developed with high levels of infrastructure, roads and proximity to other facilities, including hospitals, schools, shopping and entertainment.

The expected number of visitors during the 6 months’ event is market at 20,000,000.
